Through the bars

Not often do we expect some of our usual days to turn into heavy hearted ones. It was one such day when I went to my nearest pet shop to buy dog food for my pet. When I came out of the shop there was this little guy all alone inside the cage, with eyes full of expectations and sadness that is hidden deep inside the attractive eyes. His voice was a sharp cry that made me go down to him. I put my finger through the bars for his reach and he licked them. I don't know what he wanted to convey but I understood the deprived feeling of a 45 day old pup who aches for nothing but a mother's love. He looked for love outside the bars where people starred at him for a while and moved on but he looked into every eyes that passed against him with the belief of getting adopted.

Isn't it mysterious to see how this little creature can love an entirely different being so much that he places them before his self? Dogs are indeed the angels sent by God to make the humans learn how trust actually looks like. Opening our arms to these furry ones and opening our heart to these dolls is a blessing in disguise to get drenched in the love of these species. The love they bestow on us is indeed an act of selfless love that every individual has to experience. They teach a lot of things that we humans fail to understand or has left them behind on the journey towards the 'fast-nothing'.

He would be adopted by someone who is immensely blessed to have him around because he'll give them love that will last a lifetime and even beyond. Dogs and their selfless love will have a greater impact that anything else will ever do. I often wonder if I'm the only one who marvel the love that dogs share with us. May be because I am touched solely by their love, I feel myself blessed to be love by them; to be in love with them. I firmly believe that "Sometimes angles choose fur instead of wings".

Innocence is Bliss.!

It was raining out and I just got into the bus to my home after a visit with my bestie subsequently quite a long time. A mother with her 3-4 yr old daughter sat near me; while I was engrossed into my favorite band’s songs I felt a fragile hand touching mine. It was the small girl sitting beside me. As she was enjoying the breeze that brushed her face with a gentle kiss, she was exceedingly gleeful with no pinch of worries in her innocent face. I for a moment wished ‘Time Machine’ was true, as I saw the child free from this unending and unstoppable run of ours. The bus has got diverseness among its passengers with two adolescent girls before us who were frustrated about the wind messing up their hair and teens who were enjoying the travel with equal wits on their visual aspect in the very own girlish way. There were adults who have just completed their shopping chattering about the attires with their bulky shopping bags, and I had this young woman sitting beside me who innocence made me feel desperate.

She was waving hands to the people outside the bus with no fear…may be that is the gift of innocence I cerebrated. She was unaware of what this ambivalent society has got in store for her. She was wholly devoid of hustling over what this life is about. She was completely innocent of all these bitter truths that made her life beauteous. For now she is a child but tomorrow she is going to be a woman whose life is a trial by fire in this male chauvinistic society, she may or may not be dependent but inadvertently she is a puppet in the hands of this society. But all these trials were blurred in the innocent smile of hers. Wish I had never grown up because I want to go back to the time when innocence was natural, because innocence is bliss.

Save the Genie..!!!

It has been so mysterious to see the kids of this generation..kids of age 6-12. When I was of that age I lived in a fantasy world where Noddy and Oswald were my friends, Toy land was my home and Dragon tales was my deepest desire . I almost got dwelled in to the fanaticism.I've had no idea as what society and reality mean. I even had made a wish to my Tooth fairy to give me a pegasus. And I've ran around the nook and corner of my house searching Tom and Jerry. And I really believed that Superman and Spider man will come and save me from my home works. I even had a wish to marry Prince Charming and I've got no idea as how desperately I want to be like Barbie. My life was so lite and I was so innocent to know the struggles that I might face in future. Now I wish I could go back to those days as they were the best part of my life.

But these generation kids have lost their innocence and are so concerned about their future. It is good to be concerned but in this age you gotta be enjoying your childhood , living in a dreamland . That is when you let your imagination grow. Whereas these kids rather than making a wish to get a 6 month holiday or to see a fairy they are making a wish to become a doctor or engineer. Kids you're going to be an Engineer or Doctor but why are you worried about it at this age? What happened to their childhood? Who buried it?

It's us ...it's the society that has injected this social pressure and the need of social status in the young minds.
They are losing their innocence and begin to behave as adolescents in the age of 10. In their teens they are gonna behave like adults and when they become old they are going to regret . They'll lack peace of mind even if they've got enough money. "Money could never bring peace".

They have been rendered too strictly that allowing your imagination to no limits and falling in love with fantasy is so immature. But I wonder why people want toddlers to act matured. Nurturing this into a kid will make him a machine but not a human. I've really got no idea on people's main idea of burying the genie alive. The innocence of the children are completely polluted by the social pressure. Instead of allowing them to grow on their own accord they are being dumped by the society and their parents making the kid to become what they want him to be.

When they regret it only yearning will remain . If this situation prevails our society will have to face serious troubles as these kids are the backbone of our society. Its their parents who have got a major role in this. They foster them as if this society is so competitive and one will end up in humiliation if they didn't allocate a place for them in this big world. And in order to do that they have to start working for it from small age backpacking your childhood inside and by burying the genie along with your imagination.

We aren't aware of the mental stress they are going through and the one they will face in their later age. Why do you want your kid to live for the society? Allow him to live his life in the way he wants. These days reading comics and story books have been long gone. All these things are a part of growing and by isolating childhood from their life ....how can you call that life completed? Think it of parents...Don't curtail them if they scribble a superhero or a fairy. Don't expect them to draw ellipse and parabola. If they believe in fantasy let them live in that world because in one day or another they are going to face this masked community of people(the so called society).

As far as my personal life is concerned ...fantasy world taught me a lot of things that this society failed to do.
It is not the "Genie" who has been buried alive it is the childhood and the imagination of your children.
